Corregidor: The Trip

_DSC0005
We arrived at the Sun Cruise dock at around 7:30am, as a chance passenger. We were not able to booked our trip due to some personal issues. It’s like, this trip was planned. But we never really planned it this way.

It was a cloudy morning and the chance of rain is high. And I was like. Are we still going to push thru if it rains? Or, we’ll just have to wait for another time for this trip… But one thing is for sure. That guy right there with the black bonnet and a spikey bag is nothing but a persevered guy, no matter what. Even if it’s a “buwis buhay” life and death situation trip, he’ll push it.
But we got our tickets anyway, and we’re on.

There were two ferry’s at the dock. One at the right was our transport, which was supposed to be leaving at 7:00am. And, the other which is the 2nd trip that’s supposed to leave before lunch time, which our other comrades were boarding.

The ferry looks good inside, very orderly and clean. There’s life vest under each of our seats. And just before we left, instruction about how to do in a time of disaster is simulated.

Arriving in Corregidor at around 9:53am. It’s about One and half hour trip from Manila. And right from the dock we were greeted by this beautiful place. And a huge old cannon which is one of the many lines of artillery that was fired at the time of war.

And not very far from the dock is the Corregidor Foundation, Inc. Administration building. We got our map of the Island there for free.
