Corregidor
A day in Corregidor. A tour in this historic Island that Me and my Colleagues decided to take, by walking. We had so much fun with the Island.Even though, our legs almost cramped up and our lips dried like a dessert and craved for even a single drop of water. Imagine walking this place that’s very rich, as far as Philippine history is concern. It’s like surging back into the past.
Gen. Douglas MacArthur, whose statue stand in the Island with his famous phrase “ I shall return” is one of the significant persons who walk into this place, before the Japanese storm this fortress.
Since we didn’t took the trams in our tour. We do not have tour guide to tell us the significance of the specific place that we’ve visited. That’s why we’re already planning to come back in Corregidor. But next time, We plan to take the ride to further know the rich history of the place. And afterwards, laid back and enjoy a night in this once fortress and blood covered island.
Excluding the 80php hotdog sandwich, 70php for two bottles of mineral water, and 50php gatorade that get us through the day in Corregidor. Our expenses includes…
Sun Cruises…
-Our day tour cost us 2,099php, which includes round trip ferry transfers; shrine, entrance and terminal fees; guided island tour and buffet lunch.
-A 150php Lights and Sound Show at Malinta Tunnel (Optional).
-Total of 2,449php
